    Sharon has been JCAHPO certified since 1994. With more than twenty years clinical and administrative ophthalmology experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician, Certified Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant, Clinic Manager and Practice Manager she has extensive knowledge in the field of ophthalmic medical assisting and surgical assisting.

    Sharon's first book, "How To Be The Tech Your Doctor Can't Live Without" was published in 2012. Her newest book "10 Steps To a Phenomenal Patient Experience" was published in 2014. Sharon has also designed a unique Clear Pupil Gauge especially designed for ophthalmic technicians' needs.

    Sharon's enthusiasm for lifelong learning and ophthalmology in particular is contagious. She has conducted JCAHPO accredited COA & COT courses and workshops for thousands of ophthalmic assistants and technicians throughout the US including at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ASOA and JCAHPO Annual Meetings.

    Course Instructor

    Jordan has ophthalmology in his blood; his mother is a COT!  He is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician, Certified Ophthalmic Coder and Scribe and a Clinic Manager in Arizona.  

    Jordan is a self described "Ophthalmic Nerd"  and has a special interest in ocular motility assessment, retinal pathology, ophthalmic scribing and billing and coding.  He conducts Eye Tech Training's "Essential Technician Work Up Skills" Training Conferences throughout the US.  He is currently preparing for the COMT exam.
